For those whom are interested, here is a little bit of information about Kevin Smothers.
I was born in Oxnard, California on March 20th, 1979. I grew up in Ventura County, California, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada. Before I, Kevin Smothers, graduated from Ventura High School in 1997, I involved myself in FFA (Future Farmers of America), the high school agricultural group. Upon completion of high school, I went on to graduate the Ventura County Police and Sheriff’s Reserve Academy before attending Ventura Community College.
Though I began my sales career immediately after high school, it was in 1999 that I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began to focus on my Sales Career. Quickly being noticed that I was young and determined, several highly experienced and decorated sales professionals quickly took me under their tutelage and taught me the intricacies of sales, as well as the fundamentals of customer service. By 2003, I had saved a customer service department within a multi-million dollar corporation by increasing the customer retention ratio by over 40% and later went on to run the second largest producing sales team at the same company.
Determined to make the name “Kevin Smothers” a known name in the Las Vegas, NV business world, I started focusing on the internet as a means to help companies develop their marketing strategies for the future. Once I had acclimated myself with the skill sets necessary I started planning the inception of my first company. In late 2003, I opened my first business, an Internet Marketing and Web Design business with a partner. I funded the entire business with capital that I had created from my career in sales.
With interests in another direction, I handed my shares of the company over to my partner in late 2004 as my family and I had plans to enter into a “semi-retirement” at the age of 24. As with a lot of zealous plans in life, my early attempt at a “semi-retirement” was short lived and I went back into Sales Management and Customer Service in early 2005. I was contracted by an internet marketing company that focused on matching homeowners with contractors, which was grossing approximately $750,000 in revenue. Within my first 12 months at the company, gross revenue had shot above the $2.5 million mark due to the strategies and techniques implemented by myself.
Since leaving that company, I maintained a focus on helping small to medium sized businesses unlock their sales potential through sales consultation and marketing consultation. I have a primary focus on Web Development that I have been studying and implementing for the last several years. I handle Server Administration for my clients, light I.T. Management, Email Management, Web Development, Search Engine Optimization (local and national), Internet Marketing and more.
